The Project
Finally, the project! The size of each of the nine planets is tremendous. We are going to try to bring them down to size. Your model is going to capture every feature you can possibly think of for each of the planets. Now, each one of you should be very well versed in exactly what each of the planets look like. What you use to make the planets is completely up to you but it needs to display the correct color and look of the surface of the planets. The planets need to be in the correct order from the sun and the project needs to be three-dimensional. For the sizes of the planets you need to try to make it to the same scale that the planets are to each other in real life. Don't forget to add in the moons for eah of the planets. You also need an explaination of your reasoning for each part of the project. Answering these questions for each planet is a good start.
Why did you pick the materials you did?
How far is this planet from the sun in your model?
What is the scale for this model compared to the real solar sysytem?
What did you learn about this planet?
Does this planet have any moons?
After you have finished the explainations and the project don't forget to check over your work and make sure you didn't forget anything.
